Behaviour support

Behaviour support looks at why some behaviours happen and what might help. We work with you, your family and the people who support you to understand your needs and find positive, respectful strategies that improve quality of life.

Who behaviour support can help

  • Children and adults whose behaviours make daily life harder
  • Families and carers wanting practical ideas that respect the person
  • Support teams who want a shared, consistent approach

What we can help with

  • Understanding what a behaviour may be communicating
  • Positive strategies for home, school and community
  • Working alongside families, carers and support teams

Example goals

  • I want to feel more settled when routines change
  • We'd like calmer mornings at home
  • I want to find better ways to tell people how I feel

How sessions work

  • We listen to you and the people who know you best
  • We look at what happens before, during and after a behaviour
  • Together we choose positive strategies to try
  • We check in regularly and change what isn't working

Funding

Available to self-managed and plan-managed participants

We are not NDIS registered for behaviour support, so we can't support NDIA-managed participants for this service.

If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you can choose to use us for behaviour support. We'll go through costs with you in a service agreement before we start.
