Occupational therapy

Our occupational therapists work with you on the everyday things that matter to you. That might be getting ready in the morning, writing and play, cooking a meal, or finding equipment that makes life a little easier. We start with your goals and work at your pace.

  • People with sensory processing differences
  • Anyone who may benefit from equipment or changes at home

What we can help with

  • Daily living skills like dressing, eating and self-care
  • Fine motor skills, handwriting and play
  • Sensory needs and routines
  • Equipment and home modification advice

Example goals

  • I want to get dressed for school by myself
  • I'd like to cook a simple meal each week
  • I want to feel calmer during busy parts of the day
  • I want to move around my home safely

How sessions work

  • We start by getting to know you and what you'd like to work on
  • We may do an assessment so we understand your strengths and needs
  • Together we make a plan with clear, practical steps
  • Sessions include activities you can keep practising between visits

Funding

Occupational therapy can be funded through your NDIS plan, whether it is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. It usually comes from the Capacity Building budget. We'll go through costs with you in a service agreement before we start.
