Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists help with movement, strength, balance and mobility. We set goals with you — like walking further, moving around the home with more confidence, or joining in with sport — and build a plan you can keep up between sessions.

Who physiotherapy can help

  • Children working on crawling, walking, running or coordination
  • Adults wanting to build strength and balance
  • People using mobility aids or wanting advice about them
  • Anyone wanting to stay active in a way that suits them

What we can help with

  • Strength, balance and coordination
  • Mobility and getting around safely
  • Gross motor skills for children
  • Exercise plans you can do at home

Example goals

  • I want to walk to the local shops
  • I'd like to play footy with my friends
  • I want to feel steadier on my feet
  • I want to get in and out of the car more easily

How sessions work

  • We start by talking about what you'd like to be able to do
  • We look at how you move now and what may help
  • We build an exercise plan around your goals and routine
  • We review progress with you regularly and adjust the plan

Funding

Physiotherapy can be funded through your NDIS plan, whether it is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. It usually comes from the Capacity Building budget. We'll go through costs with you in a service agreement before we start.
